EJ Kids’ Care is a vibrant, child-centred service operating on Turrbal Nation Country located in Eagle Junction State School with a licensed capacity for 270 children every afternoon. We honour the Traditional Custodians of this land and deeply value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Our program is designed to empower children aged 4-12 to be active participants in their learning journey. By fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning through our child-led approach, we inspire lifelong learners.
We believe that each child has the right to play, learn, and develop in a safe and nurturing environment. Through rich and engaging experiences, including First Nations perspectives, we support children in writing their own stories. We value collaboration with families and believe that children thrive when we work together.
Our dedicated team of over 40 Educators is committed to providing exceptional care. We prioritise child well-being through comprehensive training, including specialised online modules designed by our Service, annual first aid certification, trauma-informed care, cultural competency, and annual child protection training. These qualifications exceed national childcare standards.
We believe in empowering our children and encourage their input in designing our menu. Our commitment to healthy eating means we strive to serve only Green or Amber-rated foods as outlined in the "Healthy Food and Drink Supply Strategy for Queensland Schools". At EJ Kids' Care, we foster a warm, fun, and supportive environment where every child feels valued and respected.

The service is Approved under the National Law Act (2010) and National Regulations (2011), with the Eagle Junction State School P&C Association being its Approved Provider.

Important additional fees: Enrolment free is $10.00/per family (non refundable), late fees are $10.00 per child after 6pm for first 10 mins and $1.00 per child/per minute thereafter. Casual bookings are subject to availability. An additional $5.00 per booking will apply. Fees and charges may be subject to change.
The Government's Child Care Subsidy is available for all eligible families. To understand if your fees can be reduced, please contact Centrelink on 13 61 50.
Enrolments and Waitlists

For families who submitted an enrolment form using our previous software, MyFamilyLounge, and have not used our Service for an extended period, you may need to fill out a new enrolment form if you haven't received an invitation to our new app, OWNA. We recommend contacting us at oshc@ejkidscare.com.au to confirm your status.
By completing our enrolment form, you will gain access to our casual booking options for term time, Vacation Care during school holidays and Pupil Free Days.
If you would like your child to attend our Service regularly and permanently during term time, please submit your waitlist request. If you previously submitted a waitlist request using MyFamilyLounge, please rest assured that we have transferred your request to our new system. If you have any concerns, feel free to reach out to oshc@ejkidscare.com.au. Note that you do not need to complete an enrolment form on OWNA to register on our waitlist; however, submitting your enrolment form along with your waitlist request will streamline the process when we offer you spots.
If you are an existing family and wish to cancel your permanent bookings, please be aware that there is a two-week cancellation notice period. You must email your cancellation request to oshc@ejkidscare.com.au. If you would like to change your booking days, please submit your waitlist request.
