Kym is always happy to discuss any matters relating to the food served, service provided, nutrition policy and opportunities for volunteering.  Members of the P&C tuckshop committee are also available to advise on our policy. Smart Choices policy

The tuckshop's nutrition policy is based on information supplied by Commonwealth and State Departments of Health. The nutrition standards allow the sale of green foods which are every day foods, amber foods which are occasional foods or red foods which are only offered for sale twice a term. The tuckshop offers green and amber foods for sale each day. Occasionally, the tuckshop will announce a 'red day' where students can purchase pizza or hamburgers as a fundraising event for the tuckshop.

Volunteers

The tuckshop is staffed by the tuckshop convenor supported entirely by volunteers. It is a pleasant and friendly venue where volunteers can meet other parents associated with the school. This provides a useful social function for new parents. New and existing parents wanting to assist on a temporary or permanent basis are most welcome.

Due to the inherent hazards in a large kitchen, the P&C tuck-shop committee has introduced a policy that pre-school aged children are not permitted in the tuckshop area. However, the committee encourages parents who are unable to work in tuckshop, to find other satisfying ways to contribute, such as providing special catering while their children are young.

The tuckshop has separate fundraising events at various times during the year (i.e. Mother's day, Father's day, Christmas and sports days) when assistance is also required.
