At Eagle Junction State School we are very proud of our rich and vibrant music culture where students are provided with many musical opportunities through the classroom music, instrumental music and choral programs.

Classroom Music

All students from Prep to Year 6 engage in a 30 minute music lesson each week.

The Classroom Music Program aims to promote the enjoyment and learning of music through singing, playing, moving and creating. Children discover the musical elements as they are presented within a sequential, cumulative, developmental and aural-based Kodaly pedagogy. Tuned and untuned percussion are frequently performed in Prep to Year 6, with a focus on ukulele from Year 3.

Eagle Junction's thriving choir community provides students in every year level with the opportunity to develop their singing and musical skills and perform with confidence in a stimulating, encouraging and 'fun' environment.
