In-Catchment Enrolments

Eagle Junction State School is governed by the Enrolment Management Plan . All students who reside within the local catchment area (must provide the require proof of residency documents) or currently have a sibling at school; and are eligible for enrolment in the educational program offered by the school are automatically entitled to an enrolment in Prep and other Year levels.

The first step to enrolment is determining if you reside within the catchment - please check your home address on Department of Education Catchment Area Map. 

 

Prep 2026 In-Catchment Enrolment

Prep 2026 Enrolment Packs for students in catchment will be accepted via email only, from 9am on the first Monday of February the year prior to intended enrolment and no sooner.  (ie.  Application for 2026 can be submitted no earlier than 3rd February 2025).  

All in catchment enrolment applications will only be accepted after producing proof of residency documentation (see required supporting documentation below) and your child's birth certificate.  Please submit your completed Enrolment Pack with required supporting documentation to the Enrolment Officer via email to  enrolments@eaglejunctionss.eq.edu.au

 

 

2025 Enrolments​

If you wish to be considered for an enrolment, please submit your completed Enrolment Pack with required supporting documentation to the Enrolment Officer via email to enrolments@eaglejunctionss.eq.edu.au.



All in catchment enrolment applications will only be accepted after producing proof of residency documentation (see required supporting documentation below) and your child's birth certificate.

A booking will then be made by phone or email, to arrange an enrolment interview once ALL documents have been received. This is done with the understanding that acceptance of the enrolment will be confirmed by the school after the completion of the enrolment interview. 

Organise uniforms and other school requirements before the children begin at the school by emailing ejssuniformshop@gmail.com.

Please note that Eagle Junction State School has a BYO iPad program for Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6.  Further information about this program can be found here

If you cannot download the documents from this page, enrolment packs are available for collection at our school office.


Required Supporting Documentation

Proof of Residency

The following documents are required for Proof of Residency:

  • Home ownership – current rates notice or unconditional house contract OR
  • Lease agreement - must be current at the time your child commences enrolment at Eagle Junction State School AND
  • Current gas / electricity bill 

Please note:  if the proof of residency cannot be presented, a Statutory Declaration must be provided. 

 

Proof of Child's Age and Identity

  • Original birth certificate - the purpose of a birth certificate is not only to verify the child's details (ie age and identity), but also to establish that the person applying for the enrolment is a parent of the child, and therefore eligible and obliged to enrol them
  • Passport (if the child is born overseas)
  • Visas for Parents and Child (if applicable)
  • International Passport Holders - the student's passport, visa and an "Authority to Enrol" email from Education Queensland International (EQI).​
