Our Year 3–6 students, families and staff recently came together at Brisbane City Hall for one of Eagle Junction State School’s most treasured traditions—the annual EJ School Ball.
This year’s theme, EJ Goes Tropical, brought plenty of colour and excitement to the evening, with our students looking fantastic in their tropical-inspired costumes. Brisbane City Hall once again provided a spectacular setting for this very special occasion.
The EJ Ball has been a proud Eagle Junction tradition for approximately 88 years. For families attending for the first time, I hope you enjoyed experiencing an event that has played an important role in our school’s history for many generations.
Throughout the evening, our Year 3–6 students enthusiastically showcased the dances they had been learning during the term with the talented instructors from Creative Dance Industries. They performed with confidence, energy and enthusiasm, and should be incredibly proud of their efforts.
I would particularly like to thank Sharon Window and our Year 6 parent helpers for the considerable time and effort they contributed to organising and supporting the event. Celebrations such as the EJ Ball are only possible because of the generosity and commitment of people within our school community, and their assistance was greatly appreciated.
Most importantly, congratulations to our wonderful students. Their enthusiasm, excellent behaviour and willingness to get involved helped make the evening such a memorable occasion.
Thank you to our entire school community for once again supporting the EJ School Ball. I look forward to continuing this wonderful tradition next year.
